1. Who We Are
NextCineHub (“we”, “us”) operates this website. The data controller is the operator listed on our Contact page.
2. Information We Collect
You give us
- Account: username, email, display name, password (hashed), optional avatar and bio.
- Activity: reviews, ratings, watch history, lists, follows, comments, and posts you create.
- Optional: phone number (for date-night invites), favorite genres, profile background.
We collect automatically
- IP address, browser type, device info, pages visited (for security and rate limiting).
- Cookies and local storage (see Cookie Policy).
From third parties
- TMDB:movie, TV, and person metadata. We don’t share your activity with TMDB.
- Anthropic (Claude):when you use mood discovery or Taste DNA, your search query and a summary of your public ratings are sent to Claude to generate recommendations. See Anthropic’s privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service (show your reviews, recommendations, social feed);
- To authenticate you and secure your account;
- To send transactional email (password resets, security alerts);
- To enforce our Terms and prevent abuse;
- To improve features (in aggregate, non-identifying form).
4. What We Don’t Do
- We don’t sell your personal data.
- We don’t run third-party advertising trackers.
- We don’t share your private notes or hidden ratings with other users.
5. Sharing
We share data only with:
- Service providers we need to operate the Service (hosting, email delivery, AI inference).
- Authorities when required by valid legal process.
- Other users — anything you mark as public is visible to anyone.
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Access & export your data: Settings → Data.
- Edit your profile: Settings → Account.
- Make your profile private: Settings → Privacy.
- Delete your account: Settings → Account. Public reviews may be retained in anonymized form.
- Object or restrict processing — email contact@next509.com.
EU/UK residents have GDPR rights; California residents have CCPA rights. We honor verified requests within 30 days.
7. Data Retention
We retain account data while your account is active. After deletion, we remove personal identifiers within 30 days. Backups roll over within 90 days. Some logs (security, abuse prevention) are kept for up to 12 months.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Sessions use signed JWT tokens. Email is delivered over TLS. We rate-limit sensitive endpoints (login, password reset, AI features). No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
9. Children
NextCineHub is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we’ll remove it.
10. International Transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country. By using NextCineHub you consent to your data being processed in those locations under appropriate safeguards.
11. Changes
We’ll post material changes here and update the “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
